We meet at 7:00 pm, the first Tuesday of the month for a short business session followed by a lively “show and tell” where members demonstrate current projects or techniques, and occasionally we are treated to a guest speaker.
Some of our members build and restore models professionally, many are amateurs who have built a few kits for their own pleasure, and others are new to the craft.
The USS Constitution Museum
The Guild has enjoyed a long association with the Museum. We keep our library of books and ships plans there and have a workshop in which volunteer members demonstrate ship modeling to visitors. The Museum and guild co-sponsor an annual ship model exhibit and competition timed to coincide with the local winter school vacation.
Due to limited parking in the Navy Yard during construction you must have a Parking Pass. Please contact Harrie Slootbeek for such a pass, however there are only 20 available. The Guild's recommendation is to park on Baxter Road against the building.
